A trio of Middlesbrough futsal players are set to travel to Serbia 2010 this weekend to take part in the 2010 World University Futsal Championship. Robbie Bettson, Mikey Roberts and Jason Kilbride and were all included in Michael Skubala’s final 12 man squad.

The Futsal Laws of the Game have recently been revised leading to major changes in the way the game will be played from now on. The three important changes affect Law 7 – the duration of the match, Law 12 – fouls and misconduct and Law 16 – the goal clearance.

Middlesbrough Futsal Club are planning to smash a Guinness World Record in October by playing in the longest ever futsal match – 48 hours – at Thornaby Pavilion, while raising money for local charity Cash for Kids.
